ALAVES – LEVANTE TODAY’S SOCCER PREDICTION
The extraordinary ascent of the Alaves from the bottom of the standings, with coach Abelardo, suffered a predictable setback last Saturday at the Bernabeu. Alaves lost 4-0 but still showed something good, despite less defensive attention. After holding up for almost the entire first half, he conceded a goal of 1-0 just before returning to the locker room. Keylor Navas, goalkeeper, however, has been repeatedly engaged in interventions not easy, and the impression that the Alaves is a better team than the first round it came out substantially confirmed.
A trajectory opposed to that of the Alaves has long been following the Levante of Juan Ramón López Muñiz, according to many now in his last hours as a coach of the team. The Levante lost 2-0 at home also against Betis, last Monday. He has not won for thirteen matches: of the last sixty points he has won only eleven. So far, the company has adopted a completely different policy than the one practiced by the Alaves, which has changed even two coaches before reaching Abelardo.
Already in the team since the 2016-2017 promotion season, Muñiz has so far kept his job. In many, however, now give as imminent his exemption, unless a resounding result of the Levante Mendizorrotza, in which however the Alaves has not lost since last November and has won five of the last six games. The Levante will also lack one of the two central holders, Sergio Postigo, by far the player of the Levante who has played more games in this league. It has not been convened, and according to sources inside the Levante reported by some sports agencies the reason could be contractual: a further use would trigger automatically the obligation to renew the contract for another season.
